Business Headshot Photography Cary Illinois Arlington Height Illinois

By admin - Posted on 19 April 2009

Business headshots, Professional Portraits and Wedding Photography in Cary Illinois. Professional portrait photographer services available to all executives, professional employees and small business owners, in the northern suburbs of Chicago Illinois. Our services extend up through Waukegan, and all the down to Arlington Height. In fact we have even had clients in from Downer’s Grove and Kenosha Wisconsin, to our Vernon Hills and Libertyville studio.

The photograph displayed below is a professional portrait taken of a local Human Resource Manager, from Lombard Illinois, to be used for a large company in the area. These jpg images will be used for her internal company talent profile, organization charts, as well as for talent discussions of her Senior HR Director.

As your company restructures, going through organizational change and talent development is a normal piece of any company’s life cycle. At any point someone from HR or Management may come to you and ask for a recent photo of you. Do you have one? Would you give your manager an out of date photo to be displayed for your company vice presidents? Do you look good in your company ID badge taken two decades ago with outdated photography equipment against a white wall? Do you really want to show off how great you look with a beer in your hand on the organization chart to be sent around through your company? If you answered no to the above questions, that maybe you should to consider scheduling an appointment to have an updated photograph taken? I promise it will be painless!

The owner and lead photographer (Agnes) is available most weekday mornings, afternoon, or evenings. Call ahead to schedule your appointment in advance! CLICK ON THE PHOTO BELOW TO VIEW THE GALLERY.

Portrait with Rich through a thousand unspoken words

By admin - Posted on 04 January 2009

Rich... what can we say about Rich? The question is what can't we say about Rich? Or was it what shouldn't we say about Rich? A recently retired bachelor (yes ladies, he's single) Rich needed a new profile photo for his company's web site.

After we did the basic "corporate headshot" we got to play around with some experimental lighting techniques. Using both wide lighting and some fixed lightl, I got some interested photos. I was interested in the "Time" magazine look, as seen on Gregory Heisler (www.gregoryheisler.com). Since every model is different, every photo had it's own life. Below is one of my favorites from today.

Studio Engagement Photo Adrienne and Lamar

By admin - Posted on 23 December 2008

Today we had Adrienne and Lamar at the portrait studio for their formal engagement photos. This morning was also a horrible winter blizzard. Temperatures plummeted. We got about 4 inches of snow. The plows were out in force all day from morning until night. And yet, these two lovely souls still made it in through the storm for their scheduled appointment. They receive the trooper of the day award! I could think of no better way to spend the evening snow storm then by taking pictures of two people in love!

The couple took advantage of our portrait discount and received 50% off of their engagement portrait, by booking their wedding photography with Plum Tree Studio. Contact us today if you are interested in the 2008 discount!!! Their wedding will be in Wadsworth Illinois in April of 2009. Looking forward to a wonderful celebration of love.

Congratulations Adrienne and Lamar!

See you in April 2009 for your wedding day!

Pet Potraits Bucky

By admin - Posted on 07 December 2008

This evening we had a Pet Portrait with Calvin, Janet and "Bucky" from Grayslake. Our gorgeous red headed friend (below) was 70 pounds of pure muscle and a ton of love and energy. He bounded around the studio, exploring everything he could. Sniff sniff, what's that? And that? And ohh ohh that too? What is it?!?!? His young nose was not yet used to the "other dog" smells in this world, and as we all know Plum Tree Studio is frequently visited by four legged buddies ready to smile for their annual portraits.

As soon as his care givers sat down for their portraits, he promptly joined them on the floor (obviously ready for his evening tummy rub). To get his attention I did my usual "critter sounds" as I like to call them -- a few cat meows, some like arfs, then a bit of the quack quack, and finally closing with a general squeel. Buckey responded really well to the "go to the car?" sentence (since we all love car rides, photographer included!). After a few photos, Bucky realized that no real critters were actually in my throat and thus was bored of me. Overall, it was a great session for Bucky and his adopted parents! Woof Woof Buckey!

Portrait Kristen Polizzi

By admin - Posted on 27 November 2008

Last weekend I photographed with Kristen Poilzzi and true to her own description, she was a bubbly, sincere and kind person, very open to new idea's and new poses. Kristen was very comfortable with her 5'10" physique and "worked it" in the photos, as we say in the biz. You can tell from the images below that she could replicate emotions as needed and gave a great deal of variety in poses and motions. Fab! Thanks girl!

Studio Photos with our favorite assistant photographer

By admin - Posted on 21 September 2008

While setting up the studio for our Monday night session, our photographer decided to bring in our favorite “assistant” into the studio area. Initially there was some hesitation, could be that modeling doesn’t appeal to those under 1 foot of height.

Though after a little peanut butter flavored “treats” were brought out, our friendly assistant perked up and even gave a high five to the camera. And once baby carrots were brought into the picture the boredom magically went away. How cute! Don’t worry, no lenses or animals were hurt in the photographing of tonight’s images. Hope you enjoy looking at these as much as we enjoyed taking them.

Interested in have your portrait taken with your companion animals? Then please contact Plum Tree Studio for your family portrait. We will gladly have you as a guest in our studio and help capture the love between you and your best friend! And don’t worry about the drool, we’ll clean it up.
