Gurnee Days 2008 Canine Frisbee Contest

By admin - Posted on 08 August 2008

Thank you to the "Gurnee Days" organization for hosting the Canine Frisbee Contest. This gives another meaning to the term "sports photography!"

Sunday definitely got first place for "best looking" dog, since she was a bit too busy to bother running fast. "Trot trot trot" says our little Frisbee dog. "I'll get it to it when I get to it, when I walk back with it.” She tried hard, but alas her speed isn't what it used to be. We are still proud of our ten year old frisbee lady (that makes her 70 years old in doggy year!). I sure hope I am still able to run and catch frisbee's at 70!

All in day, a successful day of Frisbee and family fun!

Golf Outing Wedding Party

By admin - Posted on 17 July 2008

As part of the wedding package, Plum Tree Studio was hired to photograph the wedding party at a golf event for both families. We were lucky to have the family rent us our own "Plum Tree Studio Golf Cart" where we zipped around the course, rushed under trees, and eked around the edges to get those great photos.

All photos are now posted online and can be viewed by clicking here of going to "Recent Events".

Highlights from the day:

  • We captured some great "body position" photos, outlining the participant's spinal positions and body poses before, during and after the hit.
  • We managed to get group shots of every team of golfers.
  • We did acquire a nice golden tan from the 5 hours of being outside.

Congrats to Annie & Nelson on their upcoming wedding!

Three Point Figure

By admin - Posted on 29 June 2008

This is the collaborative effort of three talented artists! It is the recent work I completed with a local sketch artist and model/trainer. He held the pose for a 5 minutes each while she drew him (and took pictures of her working). Notice the feet stay in place while the upper body moves for this series!

All three artists are available for events of such caliber -- poses, sketch and photograph (models & attendee's). Please do inquire if are interested in hosting such an event. Cost is $300 for the three of us for up to two hours. Guests may purchase the sketches, may purchase training sessions with model, and may purchase the photos from past events (such as the one below) or from the event attended (photos hosted online for purchase after event).

If you are interested, please send our studio an email via the "Contact" Link on the top right on this web site. Thanks for viewing.

Chicago Force Football Game June 28 2008

By admin - Posted on 28 June 2008

Below are some of the photos from today's Football Game – The Chicago Force. I filled in for the teams’ usual photographer as he had a family emergency arise. Result of the game? Chicago won and Detroit lost because Chicago is simply the best city!

Highlighted players -- Keesha Brooks (53) for MVP and Melissa Smith (87) for the touch down and extra point.

Mid way through the game I had to duck into the press box and take photos from a-top because the rainstorm was pouring down. None the less the game continued!

Everyone at the game was so super nice! The coaches were supportive and the team spirit was quite strong. And let’s not forget the fans – with their cheers, songs, laughs, and hollers. It was a pleasure to work with such a positive and energetic group of people.
