Family Portrait Through The Snow Storm
Over the past few days the snow has fallen down upon Illinois. With inches inches upon inches covering the land in white powder as far as the eye could see. Roads were backed up. Accidents all along the highways. Yet, this afternoon our photographers braved the storm in the spirit of photography. "Stop being so melodramatic?" Ohh just let me have my moment! The storm raged on, through the night and into the morning. But the family portrait must go on!
That being said, our photographer finally arrived to the home of a family in Vernon Hills Illinois. Our photographer came on site with equipment, including lighting set up and professional backdrops. Phil, Laura, Sam, and Justin all helped with moving around furniture and setting up the backdrop. With muscle all around the set up and take down time went from 45 minutes for the photographer to mearly 20 minutes for everyone.
Thanks everyone! Look forward to seeing you again at your next family portrait -- only this time with brother number 3 home from college. Now you can show him was he was missing!!!
Below are a few images from the session.

Pet Potraits Bucky
This evening we had a Pet Portrait with Calvin, Janet and "Bucky" from Grayslake. Our gorgeous red headed friend (below) was 70 pounds of pure muscle and a ton of love and energy. He bounded around the studio, exploring everything he could. Sniff sniff, what's that? And that? And ohh ohh that too? What is it?!?!? His young nose was not yet used to the "other dog" smells in this world, and as we all know Plum Tree Studio is frequently visited by four legged buddies ready to smile for their annual portraits.
As soon as his care givers sat down for their portraits, he promptly joined them on the floor (obviously ready for his evening tummy rub). To get his attention I did my usual "critter sounds" as I like to call them -- a few cat meows, some like arfs, then a bit of the quack quack, and finally closing with a general squeel. Buckey responded really well to the "go to the car?" sentence (since we all love car rides, photographer included!). After a few photos, Bucky realized that no real critters were actually in my throat and thus was bored of me. Overall, it was a great session for Bucky and his adopted parents! Woof Woof Buckey!
