Wedding Missy and John December 27 2008
Today our Plum Tree Studio crew photographed the wedding of Missy and John! Initially there was concern that a winter wedding had potential to be impacted by the snow or freezing weather. Yet, our bride and groom wanted a Christmas wedding and that is what they received. In fact, at our wedding consultation this summer the bride adamantly said to me "It will not snow on my wedding day!" I have to say that Missy must have been in communication with the weather gods because it did not snow on her wedding day. In fact, December 27th 2008 was the warmest weather recorded for that day in history, setting a new record for Chicago! The day reminded me very much of the early spring weddings with rain showered intermixed with spell of warm wind. No gloves, no hates, no scarves, just a casual breeze and a sprinkling of moisture. That proved that positive thinking and a great deal of luck can make any dream come true!

Family Portrait James Kathryn Kelly Jim
This morning we had at our studio a former client of mine, which I have kept in contact with over the years. We photographed using the Canon 5D and the 20mm-70mm L-series pro lens. Light were set at only 1/4 power and background was standard white backdrop paper. Kelly's two little angels (twins) had just as much energy as their momma, coupled with dads enthusiasm and made for a fun adventure! Born in the winter of 2007, these little ones were a mere one year old yet had brought tons of energy and joy to the photo shoot! The Photo collage from the morning studio session is below, and more images coming within a few weeks. Both James and Kathryn crawled around and explored the studio, always inquisitive and ready for new sites. In between cries, snacks, and snuggles we managed to get a whole bunch of fabulous photos. If I did not know better, I would have guessed these two little ones had taken modeling classes.
If you are interested in scheduling your own baby or infant portraits, please email us directly using the "contact" link above. We glady will photograph your baby in communion clothes, anywhere in Chicago, and full of smiles! Happy Holidays!!

Photos with Santa Paws at Who's Your Puppy in Libertyville
This weekend Plum Tree Studio Pet Photography was out with tails a-waggin' in Libertyville, Illinois photographying the annual event called "Photo Op with Santa Paws". Santa Paws was at the "Who's Your Puppy" Salon and Spa on Saturday (December 6th) and Sunday (December 7th). The salon offers pet stylists, relaxation at the spa, accesories, toys, collars, and above all else a knowledgable and friendly staff. I was amazed and pleased to see that every guest was personally greeted and given a tour of the facility. Talk about personalized service! Take a look at their web site and stop over -- and make sure you tell them Agnes from Plum Tree Studio sent you (they'll treat you extra special!).
And if you were among the lucky humans and canines who stopped in for a visit, your photos are available online for purchase and your free 5x7 photograph will be available for pick up on December 20th 2008.

Fireworks July 3 2008
On this fun and festive night, Mr. and Mrs. Plum decided to head out to Wauconda to enjoy a relaxing night off from work. No photography, no web design, no clients, just family time. We both cheated and took photos. :) This was a perfect place to take pictures and enjoy the fireworks --- not too crowded and we got a perfect spot on the hill on which we could sit and relax and enjoy the display. On the way home the road out was a parking lot of traffic, however we didn't mind because we were happy to have seen such a wonderful show! Thanks Wauconda!
