Photography Walk Through Chicago Bridgeport

By admin - Posted on 23 July 2009

As part of our inspiration quest to develop our skills as trained photographers, we often go out mid afternoon on a “photography walk” through the neighborhood.

It helps train our eyes to see the little details all around us everyday. Our brides often comments about we captured every amazing detail of their wedding day, so we know our weekly exercise is working!

It helps us find cute new areas and places where we can bring families and models for portraits. We try to provide each customer a new experience and a new setting and provide our more contemporary clients the options for an edgy and high profile setting. We offer outdoor as well as studio portraits. What better setting that a graffiti wall near the Chicago Downtown area? Image a large 11x14 portrait of you teenager against a bright and harsh wall of paint and local art! Amazing!

Interested having some original maternity photo created? There are plenty of amazing outside hot spots in the here including a flower hill with an amazing view of the Chicago skyline. Such an amazing way to bring together mother nature and modern contemporary views of Chicago.

By admin - Posted on 22 June 2009

We signed our lease for our newest studio in Chicago (60608) in the Bridgeport area near US Cellular Field (formerly Comiskey Park). We will now be located near 35th and Halsted, very close to the home the Mayor of Chicago, Mayor Daley. Our Chicago studio will open in early June, with gallery tours available in mid June.

Our new address (starting in June) will be
Plum Tree Studio Photography
34th and Lituanica Avenue
Chicago Illinois 60608

Please email us or call to set your appointment. Even if the door is closed, we will be inside setting everything up and through I will be scheduling and working portraits sessions up until the doors open. There is no rest for the small business owner!

We will continue to serve the northern suburbs, without interruption. Our phone number remains the same. Please continue to refer us to your friends and family, as personal referrals and testimonials are the biggest source of new clients. Since weddings and portraits occur throughout Chicago and the suburbs we will continue to provide photography all the way up through Milwaukee. We frequent to Racine, Kenosha, and Milwaukee Wisconsin for our current clients and have no intention to stop. With our new study we have more room for portraits and much much more room for wedding and portrait consultations.

Chicago Bridgeport portrait photography session

By admin - Posted on 23 April 2009

Last week, we visited the Chicago Bridgeport (60608) area for a portrait photography session and a tour of our newest photography studio location. We started the day by getting on the Metra Antioch line to Chicago at 7:12am. A few lighting video’s later, we hoped on the Orange line and arrived just after 9 in Chicago Bridgeport.

And as fate would dictate to us, on the walk to the studio I spotted “Happiness Delivery”. I don’t want to question the magical intent of the owners, and I cannot vouch for the quality of food or customer service itself, however I did find it interesting and fantastic to see such an inspirational beacon of hope. “This is it”, I thought to myself silently, “this is the moment when ones life takes a turn for the better. This is the point where ones career as an artist catapults into the fast track”. This is the moment where my years of hard work and patience will bring to fruition an outlet far greater than the small lake I had so much grown used to. How did I know? The Happiness Delivery beacon told me!

The area surrounding us on Halsted and 35th was amazing and full of time. All around us were people hustling around, going for walking and generally had a pretty had step of pep in their stride. Our studio was just as imagined. I can’t reveal the details just yet, you are going to have to wait for the studio warming. Given spring is upon us, a photography studio in Bridgeport warming sounds just right!

After our final viewing, I met up with Yazmin, a local from Lincoln park. We walked about the area, stopping to pose and create a few fine art images along the way. Yazmin was so full of energy and so eager to model. Along our walking tour of the area, I spotted a gorgeous grungy and run down alley next to the church. This spot was fabulous for a modern and elegant portrait of a Quinceanera on her special Cotillion day. She danced in the alleyway, spun in a circle and run through the local park all with a smile and laughter. We ended our session together with some contemporary photos against yet another brick building. With the help of a local small business employee, we moved around a few bins to allow us to have the full alley. With the sun being overhead and a cool wind in the air, we closed the session with many great images!
